Our Work

Turning Community Stewardship into National Water Security

At KeNAWRUA, we believe that lasting solutions to Kenya’s water challenges must begin at the grassroots. Our work empowers Water Resources Users’ Associations (WRUAs) to lead in conserving, managing, and protecting water resources sustainably. Through strategic programs, we strengthen capacity, connect stakeholders, and influence policies that shape Kenya’s water future.

Community Scientists

Across Kenya’s river basins, community members are doing more than fetching water; they’re collecting data, identifying pollution hotspots, and driving real change. Through citizen science, Water Resources Users Associations (WRUAs) are rewriting the story of water management by turning local knowledge into powerful evidence that shapes policy and practice.
