KeNAWRUA plays a critical advocacy role by representing WRUAs at the national and county levels. We ensure that community water users have a voice in shaping water laws, policies, and budget priorities. Through engagement in legislative forums, sector working groups, and public participation processes, we advocate for policy frameworks that support WRUA sustainability, inclusivity, and access to resources. We also work to simplify complex regulatory requirements, enabling WRUAs to better navigate institutional processes. Our advocacy empowers WRUAs to be not just implementers but influencers of Kenya’s water governance system.
